Marathon Training: 5 Days to Go

The countdown begins. Kelly and I fly to Austin on Friday, and then the fun begins! My last two weeks of runs have been the tapering off period, with my long runs being 12 miles and 8 miles. I made it through both of those without any trouble and minimal knee pain afterwards. I have continued to bike and use the elliptical in place of my weekday runs, but skipping the strain on my knees is probably the smart option right now. My legs feel good, and I’m starting to actually get excited about the race.
